Member Benefits & Sharing
Before submitting an Unshared Amount (UA) Sharing Request, be sure you know the UA amount you selected when you enrolled in your Mutual Health™ membership. You should submit a UA Sharing Request when your eligible medical bills from a single medical event exceed your UA.
When sharing costs with the community, present yourself as cash pay (you do not pay out of pocket). Then, request an invoice from the facility, and submit it online. Your Sharing Request will be reviewed, and upon approval, payment will be provided in the form of an instant debit card, or payment will be made directly to the facility. It's that easy!

Unshared Amount (UA) Sharing Requests should be submitted once a medical incident exceeds your selected Unshared Amount of $1,500 or $3,000.

Request Self-Pay Discounts and provide itemized bills, and provider notes with your Sharing Request.
​
Reaching the UA must be within 6-months from the initial date of service.
​
Submit bills in a timely manner as you receive them.
​
Maternity Sharing Requests are considered UA requests and have a 30-day waiting period from the start date of membership to be eligible.
